ERPNext is developed by Frappe Technologies, based in Mumbai, India, together with a global community of partners and contributors. It is built on the company's own open-source Frappe Framework and released under the GPLv3 licence. Frappe follows a fully open development model on GitHub, with a major version roughly every year and commercial hosting through Frappe Cloud.
- Ozone connects ERPNext to OpenMRS through its integration layer (EIP routes); the main flows are patients to customers and orders to quotations.
- ERPNext and Odoo are alternative ERP options in Ozone; pick one per deployment.
- Each orderable drug or test in OpenMRS needs a matching item in ERPNext, with prices set in price lists.
- Runs on the Frappe stack: Python, MariaDB, Redis (cache and queue), background workers and a scheduler. All must be up for billing to sync.
- Chart of accounts, taxes and fiscal year must be set up for your country before go-live.
